Ocean Import Operator - HYBRID/REMOTE - JFK, NY - $55k - $65k + Bonus
First Choice are currently recruiting for an Ocean Import Coordinator to join a top freight forwarder near JFK.
Essential Duties:
- Experience of Ocean Import procedures and documentation (A-Z).
- Negotiate rates with vendors.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Book freight with carriers and consolidators and obtain freight rates.
- Problem solve outside of normal job functions to support clients.
- Ensure timely delivery to carriers consolidators, packing depots, costing invoicing and collection of correct charges.
The ideal candidate will also have:
- A high level of energy and a "can-do" positive attitude
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
