First Choice are currently recruiting for an experienced Ocean Operations Specialist for a top Freight Forwarding company based near JFK, New York. You will be responsible for Ocean Imports and Exports in an established team.
Essential Duties:
- Ocean Import/Export procedures and documentation (A-Z)
- Problem solving outside of normal job functions to support clients
- Pricing and Negotiation experience
- Good interpersonal skills
- Corresponding with agents, shipping lines, airlines and freight carriers
- Alert all agents to pick up and deliveries
The ideal candidate will also have:
- A high level of energy and a "can-do" positive attitude
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Cargo Wise experience
